基数词的构成

①1至12构成

②13至19的构成

一致之处是词尾皆为-teen。

③20至90的十位整数构成一致之处是词尾皆为-ty。

twenty二十 thirty三十 forty 四十 fifty五十

sixty 六十 seventy七十 eighty 八十 ninety 九十

④21到90带个位的数字

十位数在前，个位数在后，十位数与个位数之间用连字符连接。如21-29的数字:

twenty-one二十一 twenty-two二十二 twenty-three 二十三

twenty-four 二十四 twenty-five二十五 twenty-six二十六

twenty-seven二十七 twenty-eight=+八 twenty-nine 二十九

⑤ 百位数

百位整数100到900由one到nine加上hundred 构成，如one hun- dred(一百)，two hundred(二百)，three hundred(三百)等。一百也可表示为ahundred。百位数后有十位数和个位数的构成为:在百位和十位之间用 and 连接，也可不用;如果只有百位数和十位数，或只有百位数和个位数，则百位和十位，百位和个位之间用and 连接，也可不用。

如:

345:three hundred(and)forty-five

340:three hundred(and)forty

305:three hundred(and)five

⑥千位数

千位整数1000到9000由one到nine加上thousand构成，如one thousand(一千),two thousand(两千)，three thousand(三千)等。当后面有百位数、十位数、个位数时，置于其后即可，如:

5600:five thousand six hundred

8450:eight thousand four hundred(and) fifty

9321:nine thousand three hundred(and)twenty-one

⑦万的构成

从1万到9万的整数是由ten到ninety加thousand构成，

如:ten thousand(一万),twenty thousand(二万)，thirtythousand(三万)等若表示几万几千，则对应的是几十几 thousand，如 sixty-five thousand(六万五千)。

⑧十万的构成

从10万到90万的整数是由onehundred到ninehundred加thousand构成，

如:one hundred thousand(十万),two hundred thousand(二十万)等。

⑨百万的构成

百万的基本单位是million。从100万至900万的整数是由one到nine加million构成，如one million(一百万)，twomillion(二百万)等。

⑩千万的构成

从1000万到9000万的整数是由ten到ninety加million构成，

如:ten million(一千万)，twenty million(两千万)，nine million(九千万)等。

⑩亿的构成

从1亿到9亿的整数是由one到nine加hundred million 构成，如: one hundred million(一亿)，nine hundred million(九亿)等。

十亿的构成

十亿的基本单位是billion。从10亿到90亿的整数是由one到nine加billion 构成，

如two billion(二十亿)，four billion(四十亿)等

⑩千亿的构成

从1千亿到9千亿的整数是由onehundred到ninehundred加billion构成，

如six hundred billion(六千亿)，eight hundred billion(八千亿)等。

万亿的构成

万亿的基本单位是trillion，如表示七万亿，则是 seven trillion。

复杂数字的读法

在英语中，数字如果超出三位，须从右到左，每三位为一组，用逗号隔开。从右至左的第一个逗号读作thousand，第二个逗号读作 million，第三个逗号读作 billion，第四个逗号读作 trillion。读的时候，则从左至右。如:

129,479读作 one hundred and twenty-nine thousand four hundre and seventy-nine

6,129,479读作 six million one hundred and twenty-nine thousar four hundred and seventy-nine

7.926,129,479 读作 seven billion nine hundred and twenty- million one hundred and twenty-nine thousand four hundred a seventy-nine
